berlin mini wall for the exchange exibition in berlin

Hi everybody, here were some pics from the berlin minatur wall i did for the exibition from the exchange book relaunch in berlin. i painted a sketch from SWK and Scotty76. peace out to da boys.

Host18 paint SWK sketch

This piece is painted in my secret truck spot in Queens, NY. I trooped it out there driving my bike so the amount of paint I was able to bring was at a minimum. I noticed SWK often uses bold bright colors in his pieces, so that’s what I decided to go for.

I threw the sketch up keeping it almost exact to the sketch that Swk provided for me. I then got in there and started a new layer of sketch tweaking it here and there to add a little of myself to the letters. The letters were fun and easy to play with and I had a good time putting down the bright colors, when all was said and done I threw up the Exchange logo and called it a day within a couple of hours.

Eaea lokura! after a month delay since i painted this i can finally get a hold of a computer to upload some exchanges... i got to say this piece i thought i had done ok... but now that i look at both sketch and piece i see im missing on directions and movements that take a lot of character away from the piece... i got to say i had fun doing this one just trying to get as much down from the sketch ... i wish i could ve taken a full day light flick so colors would pop up more but i finished late at nite and had to run to other city next morning ... i always wondered bout how you could make a style out of so much boxes but with much movement ... and now that i had the chance of trying i realize how sutil the unions and position of the blocks have to be to reach that dope brasilian flavor you got goin on!
