SERVAL SKETCH BY SIRUM 1
Ok Serval , here is my sketch for you ! I tried to fit the
sketch onto A4 paper and in doing so... I feel as though the left hand side maybe a little squished in? I guess if I wasn't trying to cater for the scanner but would have preferred to kicked the bottom of the S out in a similar fashion to the L. Hope you like :)
Peace - Sirum 1

BATES - SIRUM EXCHANGE
Hey guys - this exchange between myself and Bates happened whilst the book
was being created. Its nice to show some whats been done over the time
in which the blog was inactive.I figured I would come up with a fun funky sketch for the man, and I think the simplicity with in the colour choice Bates applied to this one just gives it that extra bit of character. It really didn't need anything else!

Jurne paints a Rime sketch
Rime laid out a nice simple sketch for me on the wall with a fat cap and some blue spray paint. We were going for a "stay-warm, finish-before-the-sun-sets" kind of wall, but of course, that was only wishful thinking, as it was freezing cold out and we started buffing the wall around 2pm.
I liked the overall sketch; modifying the E to match the kick of the J, and playing on the idea of a letter form belonging to the 3D of another letter.
The dot of the J turned into some kind of pop art warp hole R. The whole piece adopted a comic book feel to it. Over all I was pleased with the outcome, although I think the N could use some fill designs to spruce it up, and the little triangle of yellow in the E is confusing and takes away from the piece.
Thanks to Rime for writing my name in graffiti on the wall.

Hesoe paints Kaput sketch
Yo Kaput!
Thanks for the sketch broo!
I had to do the 3d the other way and tried to keep the fill simple so the green would come up, i really like the idea of the bottom part of the E containing the S and the O, with the simetrical H and E, i ll definetly try this structure out on some future pieces. i think i missed the proportions on the E-S-O a bit too much, hope you like it bro! i would gladly paint another of your sketches, mad funk going on!

Host18 - Cecs : Pre-Exchange Exchange
Cecs gave me this cool sheet of letters of my side name 41Shots in 2008.
I had a really good time painting the piece even though a couple of spots were tough and as simple as the O is I never paint O's that lean to the left so it felt really awkward.
I really like the bottom left sketch now that I look at it and I may give that a go sometime soon.
Thanks buddy!

Rime Paints A Version Of A Jurne Sketch
Here is one of Jurne's attempts at sketching my name for a night spot. He really didn't like the sketch he made so I tried redrawing it as you can see in my sketched version.
I ended up not using the sketch to paint a spot but instead used it to paint a production in a school yard (with Jurne, Host & Curve) during a frigid New York day. This was a really easy sketch to paint which allowed me to knock it out fast and add in a little character. Looking back on the letters, I feel I could have done more to work some areas, especially the "E"... Next time I guess?

Ensoe paints Jurne sketch
Manage to finish up the outline jurne drew for me..Had a lot of fun with it. Went to the wall confused on what to do with it? 3d? no 3d? bright colours? white outline? and then all of a sudden it turned into something else. I see jurne's style as a very classical american style, so maybe thats where my stars and stripes theme came from..hope you like it man!
